| just wondering if we could discuss intercooler airflow/volume measurements for a minute. I was tinkering with the windows calculator whilst trying to regurgitate some basic school lessons and here is what I came up with during a comparison of a FMIC and my Z1 BA smic's. how wrong am I? (because I know I am) all calculations are for ONE intercooler. Z1 BA sidemount intercooler Dimensions: 10h x 8w x 4.5d uncompressed volume: 360 in^3 external air surface area: 120 (240 in^2) ----- standard fmic dimensions Dimensions: 11h x 22w x 3d I Calculated this as essentially one 5.5h x 22w x 3 intercooler, if you cut it horizontally 363 in^3 uncompressed volume 121 (242 in^2) external airflow surface area difference +- 3in^3 air space per IC +- 1 in surface area per IC understanding that internal volume isn't listed, and that you would have to essentially fill it with water to get an exact measurement then convert to inches, I calculated everything as an empty block, rather than individual row capacity. thoughts?
